Aging As a Spiritual Practice: A Community Class at The Well

Participant Reviews for Aging as a Spiritual Practice

“Rev. Joyce created a safe space and opportunity for sharing. She challenged me in my thinking about aging. The small groups setting felt so comfortable!”

“The readings in Aging as a Spiritual Practice were thought-provoking and made me think more deeply about aging. Being able to share this journey with others and Rev. Joyce was the most meaningful experience.”

“[The gifts of this class were] being able to voice life experiences together, even the painful ones, and being able to meditate together as a form of prayer. I’ve already recommended this class to friends!”

Join us for Aging as a Spiritual Practice: A Community Class at The Well taught by spiritual director, Rev. Joyce Coffman. Throughout the 8 sessions of this course, you will be guided through material from Aging as a Spiritual Practice: A Contemplative Guide to Growing Older and Wiser by Lewis Richmond.

This course is designed as an interactive exploration in reimagining the process of aging, which is often viewed in a negative or even dismissive way. Joyce will facilitate discussions and offer guidance on spiritual practices that can lead to aging being a fruitful and beautiful experience that connects us more deeply with our spiritual life. This course offers ideas and practices that invite us further into wisdom as we age.
